We are a top-rated drug rehab because we treat each of our patients as a unique human being, not “just another addict”. We customize each program to best suit your needs and meet your recovery goals, meeting you where you are in your journey and helping you by treating the emotional, behavioral, medical, psychological, and social reasons behind your addiction through a combination of evidence-based care and holistic treatments.
Quantum is the to rehab center for residents of New Hanover because we offer a comprehensive treatment program that is suitable for anybody who has completed medical detox and/or an inpatient rehab in New Hanover. Our outpatient drug treatment plans are also good for those people who want to access care but cannot enter a residential program due to obligations at home or at work, or for other personal reasons. Along with our integrated rehab program, we have dual diagnosis plans for those dealing with co-occurring mental health issues along with their addiction, and we offer connections to 12-step programs, sober living homes, and other peer and alumni support once your program is complete, for long-term connections to a sober community that will help you stay on track.
Types of Addiction Treatment for Drug Addiction We Offer
Whether this is your first time in rehab or if you have been around the block a few times, one of Quantum drug rehab treatment center’s best attributes is that we have several customizable levels of outpatient treatment that will provide an appropriate amount of support to you no matter where you are in your recovery journey. The three types of treatment plans we have at Quantum are:
Partial Care (PC) – in the partial care program you will come to the rehab center for 20 hours per week, accessing physical, mental, and emotional health services, with or without dual diagnosis treatments. This program is suitable to clients who do not need 24-hour care, but still require a high level of support.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – in the IOP, you will have 9 hours a week minimum of treatment including therapy, holistic care, groups, and other treatments. This program works best for those without dual diagnosis or who have their mental health under control. There are early morning, evening, and weekend options for IOP sessions so you can live your life as normally as possible while receiving plenty of treatment and care.
Outpatient Program (OP) – outpatient care at Quantum is defined as fewer than 9 hours a week of group and individual therapy, treatments, and programs. This is an ongoing program that has been designed to offer care and support as you move forward in your life, customized to suit your needs and comfort level as you live your life, so you will always have the support and sober connections you need while in recovery.
Inpatient Drug Rehab
In contrast to the outpatient rehabilitation plans at Quantum, inpatient rehab is a type of addiction treatment program for substance use disorders in which you live inside the treatment center 24 hours a day, usually for 30 or more days. Inpatient treatment is usually recommended for people who have illnesses, severe addictions, and mental illnesses that require round-the-clock care and monitoring. This is a good fit for some people, while for others it may not be possible to live in a sober living residence for so long, away from home, family, work or school.
Outpatient Drug Rehab
Outpatient rehab is what usually comes after inpatient drug rehab, or where you go if you cannot stay inside a rehab facility due to obligations, cost, or other personal issues. It is any type of rehab in which the patient lives at home or outside of the substance use treatment facility, and then commutes to treatment for a set number of hours per week for medical and psychiatric appointments, group therapy, individual therapy, behavioral health treatments, and other customized programming.
Heroin Rehab
Rehabilitation from heroin addiction is usually a fairly intense process that incorporates a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) plan with therapy, counseling, medical care, and behavioral health care. Because heroin and opioid detox and withdrawal can last for several months and be intense, specific FDA-approved medications may be prescribed for you to take long-term to help you manage cravings and taper slowly off the drug, avoiding severe withdrawal. Quantum’s alcohol and drug outpatient programs work well alongside MAT plans, providing long-term support and continued medication management for as long as you need it.
Meth Rehab
Addiction recovery involves more psychiatric help than other drugs in a meth rehab program because it is a strongly psychologically addictive substance. With dehydration, “meth mouth” and other serious issues including psychosis, depression, paranoia and anhedonia often involved in meth rehab, sometimes medical detox followed by a stay in inpatient care is required before moving on to outpatient rehab.
Benzo Rehab
Benzodiazepines are prescription medications for anxiety and insomnia that are often over-prescribed and abused. Stopping benzo use can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms that last for weeks to months, and may also disappear and recur several times. A serious withdrawal may involve seizures, so a medication-assisted drug addiction treatment is often used to help patients taper slowly off these drugs. Spending time in an inpatient recovery center may also be a good idea before beginning outpatient rehab.
Prescription Drug Rehab
There are several classes of prescription drugs that are addictive. The most commonly abused prescription drugs include:
- Painkillers, opiates and opioid drugs like Demorol, Vicodin, Fentanyl, Percocet, morphine, Meperidine, methadone, and oxycontin
- Benzodiazepines like Klonopin, Valium, Xanax and Ativan
- Stimulants like Ritalin, Dexedrine, Adderall, and amphetamine drugs
- Sleeping pills like Sonata, Lunesta, and Ambien
Most of these medications require a medical detox, and in the case of opioids and benzos a medication-assisted treatment is also needed for a safe slow taper off of these drugs. A combination of therapy, dual diagnosis treatments, holistic care, medical oversight and medication management can continue on after detox into inpatient or outpatient rehab, depending on each client’s individual needs.
Cocaine Rehab
Addiction to cocaine or crack cocaine is mainly psychological, so no medications can help treat cocaine dependence. A medical detox plan can help manage some withdrawal symptoms as doctors keep an eye on any physical health issues like high blood pressure or a heart murmur that comes with cocaine use. Therapy, dual diagnosis treatments, and counseling are usually brought in early in the cocaine substance abuse treatment process to help you stabilize and deal with the underlying issues that caused your addiction.
How Long Is Rehab?
Because every person’s detox and rehab needs are unique, the timeline varies from person to person. Detox usually takes between a few days and a couple weeks, inpatient rehab inside a treatment facility can take anywhere from 30 to 90 days on average, and then outpatient drug treatment is customized to suit needs beyond that, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to years if you want. Some people enjoy the structure of outpatient treatment and stay involved for years, while others want to get what they need and get out. Your individual level of comfort will dictate the length of your program.
What Is Rehab Like?
At Quantum Behavioral Health, our staff are nonjudgmental, experienced, and accredited, and truly want to help you. At Quantum, our outpatient rehab programs can be customized to take place around work schedules, travel, and meetings, so that you can get the substance abuse treatment you need without jeopardizing your reputation or your career.
Breathwork Therapy
Breathwork is a type of breathing exercise used to improve mental clarity, as well as physical and spiritual well-being by changing your breathing pattern in an intentional way. Breathwork promotes deep relaxation for some people, and leaves others feeling energized, and is used to improve symptoms of anger issues, anxiety, chronic pain, grief, and PTSD.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the most popular types of addiction treatment. By focusing on modifying thought patterns and behaviors, CBT treats the underlying causes of addiction, provides new coping mechanisms, and changes the way people think and feel.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical behavioral therapy in drug and alcohol rehab focuses on the psychosocial aspects of addiction, helping patients understand the “why” behind their addiction, learning to replace negative behaviors with positive actions through mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma-informed therapy goes by the principle that knowing the signs of trauma and avoiding retraumatizing patients is extremely important to the overall effectiveness of drug abuse treatment programs. Trauma-informed therapists will work to gain patients’ trust through empowerment, collaboration, and transparent decision making. They will obtain informed consent before moving forward in any treatments and ensure everybody understands what is happening by answering all questions truthfully.
