Elizabeth believes lasting change begins with curiosity, connection, and recognizing the positive qualities that already exist within each person. Her counseling style is strengths-based and collaborative, helping clients feel truly seen while supporting them as they move toward the life they want to build.
Before joining Quantum, Elizabeth worked in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), where she provided individual and group counseling for people navigating the challenges of opioid addiction and the recovery journey. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), SMART Recovery, and other evidence-based approaches, she helps clients build self-esteem, improve communication, heal personal relationships, and develop practical skills for lasting recovery.
Elizabeth believes recovery is about more than simply stopping alcohol or drug use. She helps clients explore the underlying reasons they began using in the first place, whether it was to cope with difficult emotions, trauma, stress, loneliness, or other life challenges. By understanding these patterns with compassion rather than judgment, clients can develop healthier ways to meet their needs and create change.
